September 11, 2013
Revista ¡HOLA!
Julio Iglesias is not only a musical star. The balladeer is also a caring man who took time out to visit the Teleton Children’s Rehabilitation Center, (CRIT) last September 9th in the State of Mexico.
The singer went to tour the facilities at the Center, where children, parents and employees were already waiting. 15 years ago, the singer had been present at the laying of the Center’s foundation stone.
While walking through, Julio greeted everyone who approached him and had hugs, jokes and words of encouragement for the kids and their parents who accompany them at all times during the process of rehabilitation.
He called all the kids “brave guys”, and to a little girl who had a problem in her foot he said: “You have to recover, some day you have to dance”. While to another child with spinal problems, he confessed that he had suffered a similar problem.
It was a visit full of solidarity, smiles and exitement (which lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes). Those who were lucky enough to be next to the singer of “Me va, me va”, couldn’t stop smiling.
